Weltuntergang und Wunder is a subcutaneous journey through the Viktoriapark, guided by the last fly agaric of Kreuzberg, Peter Frost. We go to the park together and follow the prophets of the new plant. We follow the white rabbit, walk backwards without fear, talk to poets, visit the Forest of the Dead, search for grottos, sunken cherries, the robin walk and visit the branch that people cut off while sitting on. Cultivate purple customs, found speaker’s corners, hear how the rain falls on leaves or meditate on the Himalaya, walk over broken glass and let us be guided blindly. We do everything, nothing. We can transform our lives and put everything together ourselves. When we predict it this way, it becomes true: We ourselves are the alchemists everyone has been searching for for centuries!

In times of a pandemic, joint walks are very high in popularity. For weeks in spring, they were the only way to experience the public together. At the same time, distance and fresh air keep the risk of infection as low as possible. And yet every encounter also involves risks. It can create understanding, warmth and intimacy, but sometimes also incomprehension and conflict. Encounters can lead to both closeness and distance.

During the festival, we invite artists and audiences to encounter each other on 1:1 walks, thus offering all those who are not yet drawn back to the theatre spaces with the opportunity for an immediate exchange. What drives us? In times of physical distancing, the dialogue with an unknown opens new perspectives on our relationships.

NOTICE The walks take place as one-to-one encounters between artist and spectator. If the minimum distance of 1.5 meters cannot be kept, a face mask is obligatory.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
The walk takes about 30 minutes. Most of the time you will be walking, sometimes standing. The route includes steps, grassy areas and steep parts and is unfortunately not suitable for people in wheelchairs or with a wheeled walker. The walk will be held in German spoken language. If the minimum distance of 1.5 meters cannot be kept, a face mask is obligatory. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact or 030 29 87 00 35.

PETER FROST How desperate he was about this name. Booger-Peter, the stupid Peter. He never found in the name, in himself, the home that it should be: He moved with Luchadoras through the suburbs of Mexico City. Syria. Sudan. Slept with ship boys in Egypt. France. Spain. He travelled all over Brazil. Lived with transvestites from Peru. Went to jail. In Rome he modeled for Gianni Versace. Gianna Nannini wrote Ragazzo del Europa for him. For some time, he lived as a masseur at the Dead Sea. Then he was stranded in Berlin. There he was discovered by a Canarian music producer, the rest is history. Since 2017 his works can be seen in the Sophiensælen amongst others.
